Usually when you think of long distance relationships, you think that they'd never last long right? Well how about this: mine has lasted for more than 4 years. I've never seen him. Not even once. But this winter break I finally will for Christmas.

My boyfriend and I have always dreamed of this day. The day we could finally see each other. The day we could finally make it official. And you may be thinking, why haven't you seen each other before? How far are you exactly?

Well try this out for size…Japan and America. Yup, I live in good ol' Cali and he lives in Japan. Not to mention that I'm Mexican…and of course he's Asian.

But today would be a day like no other. I could finally be in his arms. Feel his warmth. His lips. Hold his hand. Be the OAG girlfriend I promise to be. Just being together! This is the biggest wish I have made to god for years now…and finally it'll be true after today.

You smiled as you opened your door for who was knocking. Was it your boyfriend, Kiku? Nope, it was two of your best friends…wanting to weigh in on the situation. Your smile faded as you acknowledged them with yes followed by a short nod.

"Can we wat-"

"No."

"Bu-"

"No."

"We just wanna se-"

"No."

And with that short conversation they left. You let out a sigh and straightened out your hair. With a huff you grabbed your jacket and put it on. Before you left though you slurped down the rest of the tea you had left from the morning then walked out. You locked the door behind you and took a deep breath.

It was happening. In little to less than an hour you'd finally be in his arms. All you had to do now was just drive to the airport to meet and pick up your beloved one.

Sure, this all seemed silly when you thought about it, but your relationship with Kiku was a very healthy one if the long distance had lasted this long. And longer it will grow too. Your relationship, that is. Because soon Kiku will be moving to America just to be with you now that he was in his final year of college and you in your final of high school.

Yup, there was also an age difference. Not too much of a gap, but there was a 4 year age difference. It didn't really bother you or your family. I mean, hell, they let you live on my own. So why would a little age difference bother them?

As your thoughts trailed off you soon noticed that you had finally arrived at the airport. As soon as you went through the hell of finding a parking spot you walked into the huge building. Now you didn't have to really go through any metal detectors since you were just waiting for someone in the lobby. Not to mention you worked here part time so mostly everyone knew you. The sweet, young, caring girl.

"Today's the big day, huh?" One of your co-workers said as you walked past them. You flashed them a huge smile and nodded. You went over to a seat and sat down. Eagerly waiting you listened to the flights taking off and leaving as the secretary said so. After a while you leaned your head back and closed your eyes, time seemed to go by faster this way.

And with this time you finally got your wish.

Warms hands wrapped around your body as someone picked you up in a bear hug holding position. Of course your first reaction would be this:

"If you're not Kiku then I'll make sure you'll never have babies!" You said. Your statement was followed by a chuckle.

"I love you too." You could've cried. Finally you heard those words in real life. Here he was. Holding you. Your face within his chest so there was little to be seen. All you could do though at the moment was feel his warmth just like you wanted. His arms around you. You felt safe.

After a while of just hugging each other you two somehow came to a stopping point and looked at each other.

"Well…" You smiled. "Are you going to kiss me now or what, boyfriend dearest?" As soon as the sentence was ended he did exactly so.

'His lips are so soft.' You thought as you kissed back with happy tears falling down.
